Python Job: Full Stack Web Programmer (Python + JS )

Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 per annum to start, commensurate with experience

Westrock Financial Ltd is a BC based private lender that has been operating since 2009. We are a privately held firm with offices in Surrey; Vancouver; Barrie, Ontario; and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

We are currently looking for an Full Stack Web programmer proficient in Python, Django and modern javascript frameworks. You should have a good background working on linux systems.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and test object oriented web applications
• Development using Django and VueJS
• Maintain and create integrations with various external / 3rd party APIs
• Further develop administration area for staff and clients, including searching, reporting and graphing functions.
• Build unit tests and work with continuous integration environment
• Continuously and independently streamline interface for growth
• Create technical documentation
• Regular communication with team on project progress, issues, and risk
• Work with managers over phone and instant messenger to ensure smooth operation
• Lead and Manage new developers as the team grows

Job Requirements

Essential:

• 3 - 5 years experience with Python 3
• Experience working in a Linux, Nginx and MySQL environment
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, CSS, JSON
• Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as individually
• Experience with Django
• Experience with NodeJS (prefferrably VueJS, but really any framework)

• Git

Bonus Skills: Experience with Amazon AWSl Docker Previous experience in financial industry / e-commerce
